On May 9-20, Luke Merritt, who has been part of Wildfire since our first discipleship training school, will be joining Taylor Rogers on the trip. We are going to establish a deeper relationship with Sunil Rawte and to learn from him and the Holy Spirit fueled revival that is springing up in the villages of his region (hundreds of new believers in the past 2 years, 25 new house churches planted). LifeLight India is the name for their new movement, and He is wanting to partner with Wildfire Network as sister movements in the Spirit.
In my regular communication with Sunil, the stories he tells sound reminiscent of things that we read about in the Acts or about the beginnings of revival movements in church history books. My hope is to establish a partnership relationship and verify the relative safety of the location. If all goes well, I would like to put together an extended trip in 2020 for many of the Wildfire leaders to come and learn from Sunil and his team - with the aim that we could be further ignited and equipped to continue the revival in the greater San Antonio region, as well as to join them in spreading the Gospel in central India.
TRIP total cost is only $3000 for the both of us - because Sunil is hosting us in his apartment (any additional funds we raise will go towards purchasing bibles and equipment for LifeLight India).

During our time in Raipur, we will be hosted by Sunil and Bharti (and baby Jessica). Sunil has told us that he hopes to spend time with us meeting people and sharing the Gospel with them. He also plans for us to spend some time training house church pastors, participating in a youth meeting and helping lead an evangelism crusade. I will attempt to fill in the chart below as the days take clearer shape.
