Hold onto Hope in Jesus in the Midst of Challenges, because He is Holding onto Us!

“All my life, finding Hope in Jesus to know the love of God has carried me through life adversities”- Pastor Rebekah McKay

There are many times in our lives when, in the midst of serving others, we find ourselves in great need of hope. We face great adversity, suffer the challenges of ministry, and even experience deeply personal heartbreak. In those moments, we must hold onto our hope in Christ Jesus!

Holidays, for many, bring families together and is a time of joy and gratitude. However, for many of us and those we serve, the holidays can serve as painful reminders of the need for hope and encouragement that still remains. We can find that hope in only one place - it is the confidence of the cross of Jesus that strengthens us in the power of His might. David gives us an example as he faced enemies on every side and even the very real threat of death.

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” - 1 Samuel 30:6 KJV

We turn to God's Word and worship for strength in times of trouble and adversity! During the holidays, both as we go about our Father's business and also as we face daily life struggles, we can find hope. Not just a little hope, but great hope. We also learn much from the life of David. He praised and worshipped God despite circumstances, and David found favor in the eyes of God.

“Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws. Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” -Psalm 119:164-165 KJV

In the darkest and most challenging moments of our lives, we find direction, peace, hope, and our faith grows as we continually worship and praise God!

My prayer is that you find hope and strength, and that you do not grow weary in well-doing. Don't lose heart, for if we hold onto our confession of faith without wavering, in due season, we SHALL see our rewards.

Sincerely,

Pastor Rebekah McKay
